VIENNA, Austria - Joe Gast and Eddy Kaiser ran for three touchdowns each as the UW-Eau Claire football team overcame a 33-21 halftime deficit to defeat the Vienna Vikings, 54-39, in the seventh annual Charity Bowl here Sunday.

MENOMONIE - The 10th-ranked UW-Eau Claire football team suffered a 36-21 loss at UW-Stout while both UW-La Crosse and UW-Whitewater earned victories, knocking the Blugolds out of contention for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title and a possible NCAA Division III playoff appearance.

Saturday's matchup between #8 Eau Claire and Gustavus Adolphus is just the third time ever the two teams have matched up. Both teams have come away with one win in the two meetings, with Eau Claire claiming the first contest in 1920 and Gustavus winning the most recent contest.
