DALLAS, Texas - UW-Eau Claire football players Tony Hull (Sr. -Blaine, Minn./Spring Lake Park) and Marc Davis (Sr. -Duluth, Minn./Marshall) have been named to the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame's (NFF) 2008 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, the NFF recently announced.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - UW-Eau Claire football assistant coach Matt Rice recently accepted an offer as an assistant football coach for the Division I University of Arizona Wildcats, while Ben Halder has been named an assistant for the Blugolds, Director of Athletics Scott Kilgallon announced.

Football Preview: #17 Eau Claire At #9 Bethel
Saturday's matchup between Eau Claire and Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion Bethel will be the third all-time meeting between the two teams. The series is split 1-1, but Eau Claire racked up points in both games. In 2002, the Blugolds blanked the Royals 40-0, but lost in a 45-42 barnburner the next year.

Last Minute Heroics Advance Football In NCAA Playoffs
DE PERE, Wis. - The UW-Eau Claire football team found itself in enemy territory often today with some empty drives, but a 28-yard touchdown from Mitch Schaeuble (Sr. -Wrightstown) to Chris Hull (Sr. -Blaine, MN/Spring Lake Park) with 46 seconds left made it 24-20 as Eau Claire won the first round of the NCAA Championships over St. Norbert College.

Football Preview: #17 Eau Claire At #24 St. Norbert
Saturday's matchup between Eau Claire and Midwest Conference champion St. Norbert will be the eighth all-time meeting between the two teams. The Green Knights own a 4-3 advantage over the Blugolds and the last meeting was in 1980. The record could be 4-3 in Eau Claire's favor if not for a forfeit in 1979. The actual score was 33-18 in Eau Claire's favor, but the forfeit made it a loss. Eau Claire used an ineligible backup player in the game, but the rule that made him ineligible has since changed.
