Marnie (Blau) Harrington is the Blugolds' career leader in kills (1,663), attacks (4,300), service aces (292) and digs (2,140). She also holds the individual match records for kills (29) and digs (47) and the season record for kills (739). During her four-year career, the Blugolds posted an overall mark of 113-29. She earned AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) second team All-America recognition her freshman season of 1994.
Harrington is currently a cardiac rehab specialist at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Sac and has been there since 2000. She taught CPR there for four years and is ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certified. She is also on the SPMH Wellness Committee, a group that seeks to improve the overall health of employees.
She graduated from UWEC in 1998 with a degree in corporate exercise management and spent her first two years of employment at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. She is also a member of the Catholic Women's Club of St. Patrick's Church in Lodi. She and her husband Jeff, a carpenter who builds log homes, have two children: Dylann, 4, and Colin, 2 1-2.
