Volleyball Ranked 16th in Week Nine Poll

For the seventh straight week, the UW-Eau Claire volleyball team found itself ranked 16th, according to the American Volleyball Coaches Association top 25 poll.

The Blugolds, who captured a share of the WIAC title, earned the No. 1 seed for this week’s WIAC Tournament and will host four teams this Friday and Saturday in the McPhee Physical Education Center.

On Friday in semifinal action, Oshkosh will face Platteville at 5 p.m. while Eau Claire will take on Whitewater at 7:30 p.m. Friday’s non-winners will play in a third-place match at noon Saturday and Friday’s winners will play for the tournament championship at 2:30 p.m.
