Mon, Dec 2, 2024 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Blugold Super Six Michelle Burns Burns concluded a brilliant Blugold career by being named the WIAC player of the year and the WIAC Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete her senior season. A four-year letterwinner, Burns was a two-time All-Conference pick in addition to being named to the WIAC’s All-Defensive team as a junior. She was a two-time MVP of the Eau Claire Thanksgiving Showcase and named to six all-tournament teams during her career. Last year, she was named team MVP and received WBCA/State Farm NCAA Division III All-American honorable mention recognition after becoming the 13th player in school history to surpass the 1,000-point mark in career scoring. She concluded her career with 1,230 points, 664 rebounds, 101 steals and 96 assists in 100 games. As a senior, she led the Blugolds to a WIAC co-championship and the team’s first berth in the NCAA tournament since 2003. An elementary education major with a 3.82 cumulative GPA, Burns will graduate in December. |
