Mon, Dec 2, 2024 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Blugold Super Six Katie Stalker A four-time letterwinner in softball, Katie Stalker finished her Blugold career following the 2010 season. An accounting major with a 3.67 GPA, Stalker played 180 games in her career and started 116. She finished her career with a .403 batting average, which ranks third-best all-time in Blugold archives. She is first in most stolen bases (75) and most stolen bases attempted (86) while being tied for second in most runs scored (139) in a career. Stalker was part of the Blugold team in 2008 that won the NCAA Division III title while she was also part of the group that took third at nationals in 2007. In 2008, she was named to the All-Tournament team at nationals. Stalker has received a number of other honors throughout her career. Last season she was named to the NFCA All-Region first team while being named to the second team the year before. Stalker was a two-time pick to the All-WIAC first team (2010 and 2009) and in 2010 she received the NFCA's Division III adidas Golden Shoe award, which is presented annually to the top base stealer from an NFCA member institution. She has also won a number of team awards, including being named MVP the last two years. Academically, Stalker was honored on the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District third team in 2009. |
