During his senior season he competed at the NCAA Division III Championship and took second place at the WIAC Championship at 149 pounds. He also took second his junior season after finishing with a 27-9 record. In the 2007-08 season, he took fifth at the WIAC Championship at 149 pounds and finished fourth at 141 pounds his freshman season. Johnston completed his Blugold career with a 98-47 record. A political science major with a 3.53 GPA, Johnston earned NWCA Scholar All-American honors in 2009 and 2010. |
