Mon, Dec 2, 2024 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Blugold Super Six Hannah Humbach A four-time letterwinner in women's cross country and track, Hannah Humbach finished her Blugold career last season. Humbach was part of the group of Blugolds that won the 2009 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship. She finished fourth on the team as she took 44th place. The prior season her team took fifth. Her freshman season, the Blugolds finished in second place at the WIAC Championship while they have won conference titles in each of the last three seasons. Humbach ended her time with the track team placing fourth at outdoor nationals in the 3,000-meter steeplechase last season. She also had a 12th place finish in the 5,000-meter run and was part of a relay team that took second in the distance medley relay at indoor nationals. In previous seasons, Humbach won a number of other track conference titles and competed in a number of track and field events at nationals, finishing with All-American honors numerous times. Academically, Humbach has also excelled. She finished her microbiology degree with a 3.95 GPA. Humbach was named to the NCAA Division III All-Academic Team by the USTFCCCA in both track and cross country and was also a CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District pick. Last season she was also a CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American third team selection, putting her among the elite Blugolds as only 35 different individuals have ever been named an Academic All-American. In 2009, Humbach's cross country team was also named the NCAA Division III USTFCCCA Scholar Team of the Year after the group combined for a grade point average of 3.49. |
