Sat, May 18, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Tieri Named D3football.com All-American Posted: Tuesday, December 20, 2005 STERLING, VA - UW-Eau Claire safety Brent Tieri (Sr. -Rockford, MN) continued his collection of post-season honors by being named a third team All-American by D3Football.Com, the ?Number one source for Division III football information.? The honor is the latest in a string of post-season accolades for Tieri. Last weekend Tieri led a team of Division III All-Stars with eight tackles as Team USA defeated Mexico 53-15 in the 2005 Aztec Bowl. Tieri was the third Blugold since the 2001 season to play in the Aztec Bowl joining safety Jay Hoyord (2001) and tight end Brad Newton (2002). Since the conclusion of the 2005 season Tieri has earned team Defensive Player of the Year, All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) first team, D3Football.Com All-West Region first team in addition to his latest D3Football.Com All-American third team honors. Statistically Tieri was second in the WIAC with four interceptions. Tieri finished second on the team in tackles with 77. |
