Sat, May 25, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Basketball To Host Carroll College On Saturday Posted: Thursday, December 8, 2005 EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team will look to snap a three-game losing streak as it hosts undefeated Carroll College for Parents Day Saturday afternoon in a non-conference match-up. The Blugolds come in with a record of 3-5 overall and 0-3 in conference play. The Pioneers will come in with a 6-0 record coming off a last second 90-88 win against UW-Stevens Point on Monday. Leading the way for the Blugolds is Michelle Burns (So.-Eau Claire, WI/North) who is averaging 14.1 points per game, which is seventh in the conference. Rachel Becker (Sr.-Gilmanton, WI) is third in the conference in assists per game, averaging 4.38 assists per game. She is also third on the team in scoring, averaging eight points per game. The Blugolds as a team are second in the conference in free throw percentage, shooting 73% from the line. The Blugolds have a field goal percentage of 40.7% so far this season. The Pioneers are led by Crystal Hoewisch and Krista Rode who are both averaging around 17 points per game. The Pioneers are shooting 51.2% so far this season. The Pioneers have beaten two WIAC members so far this season, beating UW-Oshkosh and UW-Stevens Point. The Blugolds are 2-3 lifetime against the Pioneers with last meeting coming back in the 1999-00 season. The Blugolds won that contest 87-40.
