Thu, May 23, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Men's Basketball Looks To Bounce Back Against River Falls Posted: Monday, December 5, 2005 EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire men's basketball team will look to snap a two-game losing streak as they will face UW-River Falls in a conference match-up Wednesday night in Zorn Arena. The Blugolds come in with an overall record of 3-3 and are 0-2 in conference play. The Falcons will come in with a 1-5 overall record and a 1-1 conference record. The Blugolds are coming off a tough loss to UW-La Crosse on Saturday, in which the Blugolds were ahead midway through the second half, but were unable to close out the game. The Blugolds are led by sophomore Jared Bardon (So.-DeForest, WI), who is averaging 15.3 points per game. Bardon scored a career-high 24 points against La Crosse on Saturday. Zack Ryan (So.-Lake Elmo, MN/Tartan) is second on the team in scoring, averaging 8.7 points per game. Ryan is shooting 47.1% from beyond the arc, going 8-for-17. Tyler Birkel (Sr.-Spring Valley, WI) has six blocks to lead the Blugolds this season and the Blugolds as a team have 17 blocks total. The Falcons are led by Hans Hoeg, who is averaging 16 points per game this season. Eric Kossoris is second on the team averaging 10.2 points per game. The Falcons are coming off a loss to UW-Stevens Point on Saturday night. The Blugolds snapped a four-game losing streak to the Falcons in last year's second game between the two teams with a 75-62 victory at River Falls.
