Please include a source of proof (newspaper, yearbook, etc.) to support your claim. ![]() Tue, Feb 18, 2025 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Eighth Place Championships Run For Men's Cross Country Posted: Saturday, October 29, 2005 SUPERIOR - Today at the Nemadji Golf Course the UW-Eau Claire men's cross country team placed eighth out of nine teams in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships. The eighth place finish came with 223 total points. It beat UW-Superior's 257 by 34 points. UW-La Crosse won the title with 25 points. UW-Oshkosh was the runner-up at 78. An 86 point day gave UW-Platteville third, while the 87 point UW-Whitewater squad took fourth. UW-Stevens Point ended the day at 112 and in fifth. UW-Stout's 197 gained sixth place, with seventh going to UW-River Falls and its 218 total. The top runner for the Blugolds was Kevin Hall (Fr.-Green Bay/Preble) in 37th place out of exactly 100 competitors. He finished the race in 27:06. This is his second-best race of the season. The second Blugold was Jules Miller (So.-Green Bay/East) in 27:24, earning him a 44th spot finish. The race is his personal best thus far. Ted Lillie (Jr.-North St. Paul, MN) followed Miller at 27:33 and in 46th. One spot behind Lillie was Adam Wolfe (So.-Marshfield), who had a 27:38 day in 47th. Nate Hall (Sr.-Green Bay/Preble) was the last point gainer for Eau Claire as he ran it in 27:39 and ended 49th. Tom Anderson (Sr.-Platteville) was the sixth place runner for the Blugolds. He ran a season-best 27:58 race and placed 53rd. Tony Carr (Fr.-Menomonie) was the next Eau Claire runner at 58th place and in a 28:20 time. That makes for his personal record this season. The winning time was 25:02 by Platteville's Tyler Sigl. He finished third last year in 25:28. Boomer Creger from La Crosse took second in 25:11.48 while teammate Nate Hoffman finished third at 25:11.67. La Crosse continued its dominance as it defended its title from last year. The team has now won five of the past eight. In total the Eagles have collected 26 Championships. La Crosse also repeats its double title performance from 2001, as the women took the Championships today as well. The team next travels to Peoria, IL for the NCAA Regionals on November 12th.
