Men's Cross Country Falls To UW-Stout In Dual Meet

LAKE WISSOTA - The UW-Eau Claire men's cross country team faced off against UW-Stout today and lost by a score of 15 to 45.
The top six runners were Blue Devils, but Blugolds took up the seventh through 11th slots. Bryan Willkom (So.-Marshfield) took the seven spot with his 16:49 time. In 16:52 was Matt Hofkes (Sr.-Chippewa Falls/McDonell), one spot behind Willkom. Adam Burandt (So.-New Germany, MN/Central) finished ninth and ran a 17:00 even race. Rob Wilcox (Fr.-Green Bay/Southwest) claimed tenth place with 17:04, as Weston Fisher (Fr.-Rosemount, MN) rounded out the top five with a 17:09 day and an 11th place finish. The winning time was 15:55 by Stout's Nate Haeny.
Eau Claire ends the regular season at 31-38.
Next up are the WIAC Championships, held in Superior on October 29th.
