Women's Cross Country To Host Lake Wissota Tri-Meet this Friday

LAKE WISSOTA - The UW-Eau Claire women's team will host the Lake Wissota Tri-meet this Friday. The meet will begin at 4:00 p.m.
Stout and UW-La Crosse will face Eau Claire this weekend. The women have an 81-7 record so far this year. They have finished first of five, third of 18, second of 28, second of 20 and fourth of 22. Only seven teams have finished ahead of them all year in all the meets combined. At the Blugold Open the team had a second place day with 20 teams competing.
Molly Warner (So.-Mosinee) has led the team this year, finishing first for Eau Claire in all five meets this year. She finished first at UW-River Falls and fourth at the Blugold Open. Rachel Anderson (Sr.-St. Paul, MN/Harding) has ran well, too, collecting three second place finishes and two third places for the Eau Claire team. She finished second at UW-River Falls and sixth at the previous home meet. Jane-Marie Ovanin (Sr.-Amherst) has finished second twice and third three times for the team. She even finished third the opening meet of the season and ninth at the Blugold Open.
The event begins at 4:00 p.m. at Lake Wissota this Friday as the men battle Stout and the women face Stout and La Crosse.
