Mon, May 20, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Volleyball Defeats River Falls In Three Games Posted: Wednesday, October 19, 2005 EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire volleyball team swept WIAC opponent UW-River Falls 30-17, 30-24, and 30-21 tonight at the McPhee Physical Education Center.
Molly Menard (Sr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) led the Blugolds with 16 kills, with Jessica Groh (Jr.-Eau Claire/North) having 10. Carly Freiborg (Jr.-Sacred Heart, MN/Renville County West) totaled 33 assists while Shanna Berger (Jr.-Baldwin/Baldwin-Woodville) had 15 digs. Now Eau Claire stands at 18-3 overall and 6-2 in the WIAC. They will end with a 12-1 record at home. River Falls is 12-14 and 2-6 in the conference. Next up for the Blugolds is the UW-Stout Tournament this Friday through Saturday in Menomonie. - PH - |

The Falcons were kept to .150 or below in all three games. Eau Claire hit over .180 the entire match and hit .406 in the first game. River Falls managed only one block on the evening to Eau Claire's nine.
