Wed, Jun 19, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Home Finale For Volleyball this Wednesday Posted: Sunday, October 16, 2005 EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire volleyball team plays its last home match of the season when they face UW-River Falls this Wednesday. The Blugolds currently rank third in the WIAC with a 5-2 conference record and 17-3 overall record. UW-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater are the two teams ahead of Eau Claire. The Blugolds are 11-1 record at home this season. This year the Falcons have 2-5 conference record and a 12-13 overall record. Eau Claire leads the conference in hitting percentage with .281. Molly Menard (Sr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) leads all conference players with 4.12 kills per game. Carly Freiborg's (Jr.-Sacred Heart, MN/Renville County West) 12.84 assists per game also leads the conference. Menard leads the teams in kills with 281, while Jenny Wolter (Sr.-Osceola) is second at 256. 910 assists by Freiborg leads the team. Jessica Groh (Jr.-Eau Claire/North) is the leading blocker with a 63 block season so far. The 58 by Wolter is second. Shanna Berger (Jr.-Baldwin/Baldwin-Woodville) and her 304 digs leads the Blugolds. UW-Eau Claire is 39-33 against River Falls lifetime. The last time they faced each other was September 24th, where Eau Claire swept River Falls. Last year on October 20th River Falls beat Eau Claire in four games.
