Men's Cross Country Runs At Jim Drews Invite

WEST SALEM - Today at the Maple Grove Country Club, the UW-Eau Claire men's cross country team ended in 18th place out of 23 teams. The meet was held by UW-La Crosse.
The Blugolds collected 553 points on the day. The winning UW-Madison team gained 46 total points. University of Minnesota finished in second with 52 points, while La Crosse totaled 115 for third. Iowa State claimed fourth with their 152 point total, with South Dakota State finishing out the top five by accumulating 155 points.
The top Blugold runner was Brent Kann (Fr.-Rice Lake) and 26:59 time. He finished in 106th place out of 347 runners. Kevin Hall (Fr.-Green Bay/Preble) was behind him in 109th while running 27:04. Adam Wolfe (So.-Marshfield) also ran the race in 27:04 and finished one spot behind Kevin Hall in 110th. In 111th was Nate Hall (Sr.-Green Bay/Preble) as he ran a 27:05. Ted Lillie (Jr.-North St. Paul, MN) was the fifth Blugold to cross the finish line at 27:16 and 117th place.
Eau Claire is now 31-37 on the year.
Next Friday Eau Claire participates in UW-Stout Dual at Lake Wissota. It will be held by Eau Claire and the start time is 4:00 p.m.
