Volleyball Sweeps Bemidji state

EAU CLAIRE - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire volleyball team ended its homestand with a 30-12, 30-19, and 30-25 match over Bemidji State today at the McPhee Physical Education Building.
The defense came out strong and held Bemidji to percentages of -.034, .000, and .219. The most kills for the other team was seven, while the whole team had 27 total. Eau Claire hit .455 in set one before dropping off to numbers of .176 and .359. The Blugolds had 52 kills on the evening.
The kills leader was Molly Menard (Sr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) with 16. The 14 kill night for Jenny Wolter (Sr.-Osceola) was second most. The assists high total was 44, reached by Carly Freiborg (Jr.-Sacred Heart, MN/Renville County West).
Eau Claire is 17-2 this season. The homestand ended with a 7-1 record.
October 14th marks the next match for the volleyball team. The match is at 7:00 p.m. in Oshkosh.
