Fri, May 24, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Tennis Continue Success Over River Falls Posted: Tuesday, October 4, 2005 EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team continued their dominance over UW-River Falls, defeating the Falcons 7-2 tonight in the McPhee Physical Education Center. Because of weather all matches had to be moved inside, but the change of scenery didn't bother the Blugolds as they handled the Falcons easily. Five of the six singles players for the Blugolds and two of the three doubles teams were successful in their matches. At No. 1 singles Katie Kuzma (Sr.-Buffalo, MN) won her match 6-3, 6-3. No.2 singles player Kristie Carlson (So.-Arden Hills, MN/Mounds View) took care of her opponent 6-2, 6-2. Liz Deprey (So.-Green Bay/Notre Dame), Molly Hunt (Jr.-Owatonna, MN), and Laura Geissler (Jr.-Coon Rapids, MN) were also winners in their matches. Kuzma and Geissler won their No.1 doubles match easily 8-1 and Carlson and Hunt took care of business at No. 2, winning 8-3. The win improves the Blugolds to 8-5 overall and a conference record of 2-1. The loss drops the Falcons to 6-3 overall and a conference record of 2-1.
