Soccer To Host Illinois Wesleyan Sunday

EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire soccer team will host Illinois Wesleyan for the first time this Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Bollinger Fields.
The Blugolds (1-0-1) are coming off a win in there last match against St. Thomas and look to continue the momentum. The Blugolds defense has been outstanding so far this season. The Blugolds have not allowed a goal 200 consecutive minutes. Their offense has been pretty good too. They have out shot their opponents so far this season 43-18.
The Blugolds are led by Amy Smith (Fr., Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson), who had her first three career goals in their last match. They are also led by Marcia Foltz (Sr., Madison, Wis./Memorial), who leads the team in assists with three and is among the leaders with eight shots on goal this season.
The Titans have a record of 2-1 on the season. The Titans started the season tabbed to finish second in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin preseason coaches' poll. The Titans are also coming off a win in their last match defeating St. Mary's (Ind.) 4-0.
The action gets underway Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Bollinger Fields.
