Sat, May 25, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Tracksters Compete At Dr. Keeler Invitational Posted: Friday, May 13, 2005 NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The UW-Eau Claire men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed in the Dr. Keeler Invitational, a last chance meet hosted by North Central College. The Blugolds best time came from the 4x400-meter relay team of Jen Stafslien (Sr.-Onalaska/West Salem), Breanna McMullen (Sr.-Fall Creek), Kristi Hansen (Sr.-Rosemount, MN), and Liz Faller (So.-Marinette). The team set a new school record in the event, claiming third place with a time of 3:50.62. The mark crushed the old record of 3:53.28, set last weekend at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships. Heading into this weekend, the team's time would have been second in the nation in NCAA Division III competition. Stafslien also tied for second place individually in the 100-meter hurdles. She finished in a time of 14.49 seconds. McMullen took fourth place in the event with a season-best time of 14.66 seconds. Her previous best this season was 14.68 seconds, set last weekend. McMullen was also in competition in the 100-meter dash, where she took fourth place with a time of 12.59 seconds. Kallie Krueger (Sr.-Fall Creek) posted a season-best time in the 400-meter dash. She finished in a time of 1:00.64. On the men's side of competition, Adam Condit (Sr.-La Crosse/Central) recorded a new season-best time in the 1,500-meter run. He finished the event in a time of 3:57.22, topping his previous best by more than a second. Both teams will again be in action at last chance meets next Friday. Members of both the men's and women's squads will be in Naperville while some members of the men's team will head to La Crosse. - DN - |
