Thu, May 23, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Men's Tennis Hands Out Team Awards Posted: Monday, May 9, 2005 EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team recently handed out its team awards for the 2004-05 season. Erik Brandner (Fr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) capped off a strong freshman campaign by taking home Player of the Year honors. Brandner went 14-3 on the year while splitting time in the five and six singles slot. The Blugold Award went to Jeff Peterson (So.-Edina, MN). Peterson went 10-8 on the year at four singles and went a combined in doubles action. Tim Eisele (Fr.-Lakeville, MN/Apple Valley) was named the PRS Practice Player of the Year while Brett Gressick (Fr-DePere) took home the Most Improved award. Peterson and Aaron Nordenskjold (So.-Red Wing, MN) were named Team Captains for the 2005-06 season. The Blugolds finished the season 10-5 and 2-1 against Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference schools. - JL - |
