Tue, Jun 18, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Men's Track Finishes Seventh At WIAC Championships Posted: Saturday, May 7, 2005 LA CROSSE - The UW-Eau Claire men's track and field team took seventh place out of nine teams as the Blugolds finished up competition at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships. The Blugolds posted a team score of 25 points while UW-La Crosse won the event with 278 points. UW-Whitewater finished second with a score of 175 while UW-Oshkosh took third at 162.50. John Schuna (Sr.-Hudson) earned a third place finish in the shot put and a fourth place finish in the discus throw. He was the only Blugold individual with a finish higher than sixth. Schuna took third in the shot put with a distance of 16.78 meters (55-0 ?) and fourth in the discus with a throw of 46.94 meters (154-0). Adam Condit (Sr.-La Crosse/Central) took sixth place in the 1,500-meter run. He posted a time of 3:59.57 for the finish. Shaun Marek (Sr.-Waunakee), who earned eighth place in the long jump in the first day of the event, took sixth place in the triple jump today. He posted a distance of 13.81 meters (45-3 ?). The Blugolds will be back in action next Friday at the NCC Last Chance Meet in Naperville, Illinois. - DN - |
