Wed, Jun 19, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Men's Track Competes In Day One Of WIAC Championships Posted: Friday, May 6, 2005 LA CROSSE - The UW-Eau Claire men's outdoor track and field team was in action today in day one of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, where the Blugolds are currently tied for eighth place. UW-La Crosse leads the event with 85 points as Eau Claire managed just four points in the first day of competition. UW-Oshkosh is second with 78.50 points and UW-Whitewater is third with 33 points. Ryan Brohmer (Fr.-La Crosse/Logan) had the top finish on the day for the Blugolds with a seventh place outcome in the hammer throw. He posted a throw of 50.96 meters (167-02) for the finish. Shaun Marek (Sr.-Waunakee) grabbed eighth place in the long jump with a distance of 6.79 meters (22-3 ?) while Micah Hernandez (Jr.-Milwaukee/Wisconsin Lutheran) took eighth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:41.05.
