Wed, May 22, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date McKinney Earns WIAC Honors For Third Time Posted: Tuesday, May 3, 2005 MADISON - UW-Eau Claire softball pitcher Mallory McKinney (So. -Brooklyn Park, MN/Champlin Park) has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Pitcher of the Week, it was announced today by conference sports information director Matt Stanek. This season McKinney has been named the WIAC Pitcher of the Week twice and Position Player of the Week once. In all the Blugolds have collected four WIAC Player of the Week honors this season. McKinney was a perfect 3-0 on the week as the Blugolds registered a 5-1 record on the week and claimed their second consecutive WIAC regular season title. She pitched 18.1 innings on the week and allowed just two unearned runs, 10 hits, one walk and struck out 17 batters. McKinney tossed a complete game, three-hit shutout in a 1-0 win over UW-Stevens Point on April 30 and also secured wins over UW-Superior and UW-Whitewater. |
