Tue, May 21, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Condit Stars At Simpson Twilight Open Posted: Friday, April 29, 2005 INDIANOLA, Iowa - Adam Condit (Sr. -La Crosse/Central) took first place in the 1,500-meter run in leading the UW-Eau Claire men's track and field team at the Simpson Twilight Open held here tonight. Condit finished the race in 3:58.96, narrowly missing his season-best. He finished nearly a whole second sooner than second place finisher Kevin Oelstrom of UW-La Crosse. Shaun Marek (Sr.-Waunakee) also had a strong showing today with two seventh place finishes. Marek cleared 20-11 - feet in the long jump and hit 44-9 feet in the triple jump. Nate Hall (Jr.-Green Bay/Preble) set his season-best in the steeplechase in taking eighth in the event. Hall shaved over 22 seconds off his previous best with a time of 10:20.29. The Blugolds will be in action next when they compete in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships Friday and Saturday. The championships will be held in La Crosse and are set to begin Friday at 11:30 a.m. - JL - |
