Sun, May 19, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Blugolds To Compete In Drake Relays Posted: Wednesday, April 27, 2005 DES MOINES, Iowa - The UW-Eau Claire women's outdoor track and field team will send four relay teams to compete in the Drake Relays this Friday and Saturday while John Schuna (Sr. -Hudson) will compete in the shot put event for the Blugold men. The Eau Claire women will compete in the 4x100, 4x200, 4x400, and the sprint medley relay events. Kristi Hansen (Sr.-Rosemount, MN), Breanna McMullen (Sr.-Fall Creek), Ashley Nelson (Sr.-Darwin, MN/Litchfield), and Jen Stafslien (Sr.-Onalaska/West Salem) will compete in the 4x100-meter relay event. The Blugolds best time in the 4x100 this season was 50.06 seconds, set on April 16. The prelims for the event are set for 9:49 a.m. on Friday with the finals schedule for 4:01 p.m. on Saturday. The 4x200-meter relay team is comprised of Liz Faller (So.-Marinette), Tawny Johnson (Fr.-Baldwin/Baldwin-Woodville), Kallie Krueger (Sr.-Fall Creek), and Kelly Sprague (So.-Mankato, MN/East). The Blugolds have not run the 4x200 yet this outdoor season. The event prelims are scheduled for 8:13 a.m. on Friday with the finals set for 3:50 p.m. the same day. Hansen, Krueger, McMullen, and Stafslien make up Eau Claire's 4x400-meter relay team. The top time for the Blugolds this season in the event is 4:00.68, set last weekend. The 4x400 prelims are set for Friday at 4:30 p.m. with the finals set for 5:33 p.m. on Saturday. Eau Claire's sprint medley relay team will be made up of Faller, Hansen, Nelson, and Christina Locke (So.-Racine/Horlick). The Blugolds have yet to compete in the event this season. The event is schedule for 10:43 a.m. on Saturday. On the men's side, Schuna is set to compete in the shot put event at the Drake Relays. The event is set for 11:45 a.m. on Friday. Schuna has already qualified for national competition this season with a throw of 17.30 meters (56-9 ?). - DN - |
