Wed, May 22, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date stafslien Leads Women's Track & Field At Manitou Classic Posted: Saturday, April 23, 2005 NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Jennifer Stafslien (Sr. -Onalaska/West Salem) took home a first place finish and two fourths in leading the UW-Eau Claire women's track and field team at the Manitou Classic held here today on the St. Olaf campus. Stafslien took first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.19 seconds. She ran the hurdles in a provisionally qualifying 15.10 seconds in her qualifying heat. Stafslien added fourth place finishes in both the long jump and triple jump. Breanna McMullen (Sr.-Fall Creek) also had a strong showing. McMullen had a provisionally qualifying time of 1:03.91 in winning the 400-meter hurdles and added a sixth place finish in the 100-meter hurdles. Ashley Nelson (Sr.-Darwin, MN/Litchfield) took home two fourth place finishes. Nelson took fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.87 seconds and finished fourth in the 200-meter dash in a time of 26.31 seconds. Jane-Marie Ovanin (Jr.-Amherst), Stephanie Barnes (So.-Sauk City/Sauk Prairie) and Paula Crossfield (So.-Madison/East) each added top four finishes for the Blugolds. Ovanin took third in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 39:07.85 while Crossfield finished third in the discus throw with a toss of 134-3 feet. Barnes took fourth in the pole vault tying an NCAA provisional mark at 10-11 - feet. The Blugolds will be in action next when they compete in the Simpson Twilight Open Friday.
