Sun, May 26, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Blugold Golf Takes Fourth At Gustie Invite Posted: Tuesday, April 19, 2005 LeSEUER, Minn. - The UW-Eau Claire men's golf team shot a three round score of 894 to finish fourth at the Gustie Spring Classic concluded here today at the Ridges at Sand Creek. The Blugolds finished nine shots back of winner St. John's University (MN). Winona State took second with an 887 including the best third round of the invite followed by Gustavus Adolphus at 892. Winona's Troy Merritt took first individually with an even-par 212 including a six-under 66 today. Derek Pirkl (Jr.-Stoughton) paced Eau Claire with a 5-over 217 to tie for third place. Grant Lissick (Jr.-Vadnais Heights, MN/White Bear Lake) was second on the Blugolds with an 11-over 223 to finish tied for 13th. Mike Greer (So.-White Bear Lake, MN) tied for 23rd with a 227 while Tyler Leis (So.-Reedsburg) shot a 233 to tie for 37th. Mason Milner (Fr.-Onalaska) rounds out the Blugold scoring with a 238 and a 53rd place finish. Eau Claire is in action next when it competes in the one-day St. John's University Spring Invitational Sunday.
