Thu, Jun 20, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Slagle, Gressick Take Second At Ncta Tourney Posted: Saturday, April 16, 2005 LA CROSSE - Chris Slagle (Sr. -St. Paul, MN/Cretin-Derham Hall) and Brett Gressick (Fr. -DePere) each took second in their respective singles flights at the Northern Collegiate Tennis Association Tournament concluded here today. Slagle started the day with a three set win over La Crosse's Dale Wroblewski and advanced to the finals with a 6-4, 7-6 win over Oshkosh's Jeff Hagman. Slagle fell to Oshkosh's Joel Vedder 6-4, 6-3 in the finals. Gressick won his opening match in three sets and moved to the championship match with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Oshkosh's Brett Hostetler. Gressick fell to La Crosse's Scott Swanson 6-4, 6-1 in the finals. Tim Eisele (Fr.-Lakeville, MN/Apple Valley), Aaron Nordenskjold (So.-Red Wing, MN) and Chris Baga (So.-Duluth, MN/Marshall College Prep) each took fifth in their respective brackets. The Blugolds will conclude the season with a triangular against Carroll College and Lake Forest College Saturday. Action is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.
