Tue, May 21, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Golf Tied For Second At Iwu Spring Fling Posted: Friday, April 15, 2005 NORMAL, Ill. - The UW-Eau Claire women's golf team is tied for second place after shooting a 17-over 305 at the first day of the Illinois Wesleyan University Spring Fling held here today at Ironwood Golf Course. Maggie Loney (Jr.-River Falls) and Meghan Sobotta (Fr.-Arcadia) lead the Blugolds with opening rounds of 74. The 2-over par round leaves Loney and Sobotta tied for fourth after the opening round. Jesse Thompson (So.-Stevens Point/SPASH) is tied for 12th with a 6-over 78 followed by Kelly Gerzsenyi (So.-Rochester, MN/Mayo) tied in 15th with a 79. Andrea Kloppman (Sr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) is tied for 30th with an 81 with Mandy Madson (Fr.-Ashwaubenon) tied for 102nd with a 97. The Blugolds trail leader DePauw University after the Tigers shot a 304. Sarah Gates of DePauw, Julia Adams of St. Mary's College (IN) and Jennifer Young of Oshkosh are tied for first individually with each shooting a 1-over 73. The tournament will conclude tomorrow.
