Tue, May 21, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Men's Hockey Hands Out Team Awards Posted: Wednesday, April 13, 2005 EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire men's hockey recently handed out its team awards for the 2004-05 season. Assistant Coach Jeff Pradal was named the Most Valuable Person to the Program. Pradal served as a positive example for the program as he completed his Master of Business Administration Degree while fulfilling the responsibilities of a full-time assistant coach. He gave a tireless effort and provided the most contributions to the program. Steve Dus (So.-Onalaska) was named the Most Dedicated Player. Dus had his season cut short due to injury. In 11 games Dus scored seven points on two goals and five assists. Zack Tesar (Fr.-Waterloo, NE/Butte) was given the Wallace G. Akervik Memorial Award as the rookie of the year. Tesar played in 24 of 27 games handing out three assists. Jeremiah Weber (Fr.-Hayward) was given the Richard G. O?Brien Memorial Award for being the complete student-athlete. Weber played in 17 of 27 games and was named to the All-NCHA Academic Team for the first time. To qualify for the team Weber had to maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and earn at least 50 semester hours. - JL - |
