Sat, May 18, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Tennis Shuts Out Salve Regina Posted: Sunday, March 20, 2005 ORLANDO - The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team posted a 9-0 shutout victory over Salve Regina University (RI) Saturday on its spring break trip in Florida. Every one of the Blugolds in singles action won their match in straight sets. Katie Kuzma (Jr.-Buffalo, MN) earned a 6-4, 6-2 victory in No. 1 singles while Sarah Riordan (Fr.-Appleton/North) posted a 6-1, 6-0 win in No. 2 singles. Kuzma and Riordan teamed up for an 8-3 victory in doubles victory. Kristie Carlson (Fr.-Arden Hills, MN/Mounds View) won 6-4, 6-2 in No. 3 singles while Molly Hunt (So.-Owatonna, MN) earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles. Alli Taplin (So.-Dayton, MN/Champlin Park) posted a 6-0, 7-6 (4) win in the No. 5 singles spot and Liz Deprey (Fr.-Green Bay/Notre Dame) finished the singles competition with a 6-2, 6-0 win in the No. 6 spot. Carlson and Laura Geissler (So.-Coon Rapids, MN) paired up for an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles while Hunt and Deprey earned an 8-2 win in No. 3 doubles.
