Sun, May 26, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Dykstra Takes Sixth At Nationals Posted: Thursday, March 17, 2005 HOLLAND, Mich. - Bryan Dykstra (Fr. -Racine/Horlick) finished in sixth place in the finals of the one-meter diving event while Scott Heatwole (Jr. -Port Washington) finished in 16th place in the preliminaries here today at the NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, hosted by Hope College. Dykstra advanced to the finals with a score of 384.35 in the preliminaries, the fourth highest score in the prelims. Heatwole failed to advance past the preliminaries, posting a score of 343.05. The score was good for 16th place at the competition. In the finals, Dykstra posted a score of 384.70. The score placed him sixth in the event. Mike Shaw of Springfield won the one-meter diving event with a score of 456.80 in the finals. Dykstra and Heatwole will be back in action Saturday when they compete in the three-meter diving event. - DN - |
