Heatwole, Dykstra Head To Nationals thursday

EAU CLAIRE - UW-Eau Claire divers Scott Heatwole (Jr. -Port Washington) and Bryan Dykstra (Fr. -Racine/Horlick) will head to Holland, Mich., this Thursday to compete in the NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, hosted by Hope College.
The event begins Thursday at 10:00 a.m. and will conclude on Saturday. The pair of divers will compete in both the one and three-meter diving events. The one-meter diving trials are scheduled for Thursday with the finals set later the same day. The three-meter trials and finals will both be held on Saturday.
Heatwole comes into the competition with the best scores in each of the events of the two divers. Both diving events will be in an 11-dive format. Heatwole posted a score of 472.95 in the three-meter diving event on February 19, his best score of the season. One the same day, Dykstra posted his season-best score in the three-meter event of 469.80.
Heatwole also has the better score of the two divers in the one-meter event, finishing with a score of 445.80 on February 17. Dykstra's top score of the season came on December 4, when he posted a 441.00.
The NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships is set to begin in Holland, Mich., this Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
