Thu, May 23, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Schuna Comes Up Short At Nationals In Weight throw Posted: Friday, March 11, 2005 BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - John Schuna (Sr. -Hudson), of the UW-Eau Claire men's indoor track and field team, finished one place short in the weight throw preliminaries and did not advance to the finals of the event here today at the NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University. Schuna posted a distance of 16.80 meters (55-1.5) in the preliminaries, good for fifth in his heat. The top nine throwers in the two heats advanced the final, and Schuna finished with the 10th best distance in the preliminaries. Uzoma Orgi of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology won the event in the finals with a throw of 19.74 meters (64-9.25). The throw is a new meet record. Schuna will compete in the shot put competition tomorrow at nationals. The event is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. - DN - |
