Wed, Jun 19, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Eau Claire-Stout Tickets Available On UWEC Campus Posted: Tuesday, February 22, 2005 Tickets for the women's basketball showdown between UW-Eau Claire and UW-Stout at Menomonie Wednesday are available on the UW-Eau Claire campus. Tickets went on sale at 1 p.m. today at the Service Center in the east lobby of the W. R. Davies Center and will remain available in Eau Claire until 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Service Center is open until 11 p.m. today and will reopen at 7 a.m. Wednesday. Tickets for Wednesday's game at Stout are $6 for adults, faculty and staff and $3 for seniors, youths and students. The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference semifinal playoff game between the I-94 rivals will tip off at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson Fieldhouse. Stout, the co-champion of the WIAC, is the No. 1 seed and advanced with a 73-66 win over eighth-seeded UW-La Crosse Monday while the Blugolds, the No. 5 seed, upended No. 4 seed UW-River Falls, 62-43, at River Falls. The winner of Wednesday's game will advance to the WIAC championship contest Saturday against the winner of Wednesday's other semifinal between No. 2 seed UW-Stevens Point and No. 3 seed UW-Oshkosh. Stout and Eau Claire split their regular season matchups with each team winning on its home court--the Blue Devils by a 75-58 margin on Jan. 15 and Eau Claire by a 55-47 score on Feb. 12. This is the fourth time in the seven-year history of the WIAC tournament that the two teams are meeting in the semifinals. Eau Claire won the games in Zorn Arena (61-59 in 2000 and 83-70 in 2003) while Stout won the previous encounter in Johnson Fieldhouse (71-68 in 2002). - TP - |
