Drake Named Academic All-District Second Team

STAMFORD, CT - UW-Eau Claire men's basketball outside player Casey Drake (Sr. -Rhinelander) was named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District V Men's Basketball College Division Second Team today by regional coordinator Dave Beyer of Rockford (IL) College.
A broadfield social studies-teaching major, Drake carries a 3.53 grade-point average. This past fall Drake was a recipient of the Blugold Super Six Award. The Super Six is the highest honor given to a UW-Eau Claire student-athlete recognizing both academic and athletic excellence. Drake is also a member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Scholastic Honor Roll.
A first team All-WIAC selection in 2003-04, Drake went over the 1,000 career point mark this season and currently ranks 21st on the school's all-time scoring list. In the WIAC Drake currently ranks in the top 10 in scoring (3rd-17.8 per game), assists (4th-3.29 per game), field goal percentage (9th-.452), free throw percentage (10th-.770), steals (10th-1.29 per game) and assist/turnover ratio (10th-1.34).
