Fri, May 24, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Wrestlers Pinned By Point Posted: Saturday, February 12, 2005 STEVENS POINT - The UW-Eau Claire wrestling fell to 11th-ranked UW-Stevens Point 35-7 here today. Derek Sikora (Jr.-Neillsville) improved to 23-3 with an 11-0 major decision win at 165 pounds. Shane Brady (Fr.-Chetek) earned the other Blugold win with a 7-6 decision at 133 pounds. Brady improves to 12-18 on the year with the win. Josh Holforty (Fr.-Bloomington, MN/Kennedy) and Larry Moen (Sr.-Madison/East) kept it close in their respective weight classes but couldn't pull out a win. Holforty lost a 1-0 decision at 197 pounds while Moen fell 5-4 in the heavyweight division. The Blugolds fall to 1-5 in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference duals and 4-12 overall with the loss. Stevens Point improves to 5-1 in the WIAC and 13-7 overall. Eau Claire will be in action next whey they compete in the WIAC Conference Championships Sunday, Feb. 20 in Appleton. The championships are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. - JL - |
