Sat, May 25, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Track Competes At Stout Open Posted: Saturday, January 29, 2005 MENOMONIE - The UW-Eau Claire women's indoor track and field team was in action today as the Blugolds participated in the UW-Stout Open, where no team scores were kept. Jen Stafslien (Sr.-Onalaska/West Salem) was the big winner on the day, claiming all three of Eau Claire's first place finishes. Stafslien won the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.63 seconds while also winning both the long and triple jump competitions. She posted a distance of 5.10 meters in the long jump and 10.79 meters in the triple jump. Two Blugolds took third place on the day as Stephanie Barnes (So.-Sauk City/Sauk Prairie) did so in the pole vault, clearing a height of 3.45 meters. The height is a provisionally qualifying mark for national competition. Molly Warner (Fr.-Mosinee) also earned third place in the 5,000-meter run, finishing in a time of 18:38.81. The Blugolds also earned second place in the 4x200 meter relay event with a time of 1:49.46. Eau Claire will be back in Menomonie next Saturday for the Stout Invite. - DN - |
