Frederick Named WIAC Athlete of the Week By: Kevin Meinholz, Sports Information Director MADISON, Wis. (UWECBlugolds.com) - UW-Eau Claire women's track & field member Brittany Frederick (Jr.-Green Bay, Wis./Preble) has been named a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athlete of the Week, WIAC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Matt Stanek announced today. Participating at the Division I Dave Rankin Invitational hosted by Purdue University April 16, Frederick took third in the discus throw, automatically qualifying for the NCAA Division III Championship with a mark of 153-5 (46.76 meters). She also placed fourth in the hammer throw with a provisional qualifying attempt of 168-4 (51.30 meters). Frederick was also eighth in the shot put. |
