Sat, May 25, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Mesick Named to Academic All-District Team By: Kevin Meinholz, Sports Information Director EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (UWECBlugolds.com) - For the second year in a row, UW-Eau Claire women's basketball player Hannah Mesick (Sr.-Chatfield, Minn.) has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District 5 College Division second team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. Mesick maintains a 3.85 cumulative GPA and majors in political science while minoring in coaching. Mesick leads the Blugolds and the conference in scoring this season, averaging 16.9 points per game. She currently ranks sixth on the Blugolds' all-time scoring list with 1,336 points. She is also averaging a team-best 8.5 rebounds per contest, third highest in the WIAC. Mesick ranks high in a number of other categories in the WIAC and also appears numerous times in the Blugolds’ all-time career rankings. |
