EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire gymnastics team took first place in three of five events in winning the UW-Eau Claire Wild West Invite with a score of 178.575 here today at the McPhee Phy. Ed. Center.

Alison Eagles (Sr.-Shoreview, MN/Mounds View) followed last week's strong performance with another solid showing today. Eagles took first in the vault with a score of 9.250 and second in both the uneven bars and all-around events.

Lynn Morris (Jr.-Monticello, IN/Twin Lakes) took first in the uneven bars with a score of 9.000 while Chelsey Brickweg (Jr.-Alexandria, MN/Jefferson) took first on the balance beam with a score of 9.050.

UW-Stout finished second with a score of 172.925 followed by UW-Whitewater and Winona State.

The Blugolds will be in action next when they compete in the Cardinal Classic Invite Friday. The invite is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
