Sun, May 19, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Wrestling Team Defeated by Ranked Luther By: Ashley Hofer, Sports Information Student DECORAH, Iowa. (UWECBlugolds.com) - In the second dual meet of the season, the UW-Eau Claire wrestling team fell to No. 18 Luther College this afternoon with a final score of 28-15. In the meet, the Blugolds still picked up three wins in the 10 events, two of which resulted from pins. Will Christ (Jr.-Shell Lake, Wis.) scored a Blugold victory in the 197 weight class by pinning his Luther opponent 2:31 into the match. In the 149 division, Kyle Heise (Fr.-Green Bay, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) earned six points for Eau Claire when he pinned the Luther wrestler at the 2:35 mark. Ryan Seidler (So.-Adams, Wis./Adams-Friendship) picked up the third win for the team in the 141 weight class. Seidler was awarded the decision by a result of 7-3. The Blugolds have off until Dec. 4 when they will compete in the La Crosse 2x4 Duals. The competition is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. |
