(UWECBlugolds.com) - UW-Eau Claire women's soccer player Rachel Nerison (Jr.-Maple Grove, Minn.) has earned Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Player of the Week honors, Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Matt Stanek announced today. Nerison played a starring role by slotting in the sole and game winning goal as the Blugolds took to the road and toppled the 10th-ranked Cobbers of Concordia-Moorhead. In the process, Nerison and the Blugolds snapped the Cobbers 20-game regular season winning streak which dates back to 2008. All four of Nerison's shots were on target/goal. |
