(UWECBlugolds.com) - UW-Eau Claire student-athlete Hannah Humbach (Sr.-Madison, Wis./Abundant Life) was recently selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American Women's Track and Field and Cross Country third team. Humbach is microbiology major with a 3.95 cumulative grade point average. She has received Dean's List and academic distinction honors eight times. She joins just 34 other Blugolds who have earned recognition as a CoSIDA Academic All-American. Humbach was part of the cross country team last fall that won the NCAA Division III Championship. She finished in 44th place which was fourth best on the team. Academically, she also received honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association by being named to the All-Academic team for cross country. During the indoor track season, she won the 3,000-meter steeplechase conference title while she won a conference title in the 5,000-meter run and was part of the second place 4x800-meter relay team during the WIAC Outdoor Championship. She was also named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship team. At track nationals, she finished second in the distance medley relay (indoor) and took fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (outdoor). Humbach also took 12th in the 5,000-meter run at the outdoor national championship. Humbach was also named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District first team prior to being named an All-American. |
