Mon, May 20, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Golf in Second at Spring Invitational By: BJ Pickard, Sports Information Student EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (UWECBlugolds.com) - After one round of play, the UW-Eau Claire women's golf team is placed second out of 12 teams at the UW-Eau Claire Spring Invitational at Wild Ridge Golf Course. The team shot 330 on the day, 38 over par for the course. Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) is in first place at 20 over par (312) while St. Olaf College (Minn.) is in third with 337. Individually for the Blugolds, Katie Maurer (So.-Forest Lake, Minn./Convent of the Visitation) is tied for sixth place with 80 strokes, seven over par. Torie Ives (Sr.-Osseo, Wis./Osseo-Fairchild) is tied for ninth place at nine over par. Lauren Gault (So.-Shorewood, Wis.) is in 13th place at 10 over par. The team will play the second round tomorrow, beginning at 7:30 a.m. |
