(UWECBlugolds.com) - UW-Eau Claire women's track and field athlete Hannah Humbach (Sr.-Madison, Wis./Abundant Life) has been selected as this week's Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) track athlete of the week, conference sports information director Matt Stanek announced today. Humbach automatically qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship and set a school record as she took second place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:29.66 at the Gina Relays. The winner finished with a time of 10:29.55. Humbach broke the old school record, which she set a season ago, by nearly four seconds. Her time was the second best in the conference and the third best in the nation this season. |
