EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (UWECBlugolds.com) - UW-Eau Claire women's hockey player Beth Dittrich (Sr.-Roseville, Minn./Roseville Area) was honored with two awards at the 2009-10 team banquet, head coach Mike Collins announced today.
Diitrich, who has earned both the Blugold and Student-Athlete awards for the past three seasons, scored 12 goals and had 17 assists for 29 points this season, which ranked second best on the team. She finished her career second on the Blugolds' all-time scoring list with 76 points, first with 12 game-winning goals in her career, and tied for first with 44 career assists. She also set a single-season school record for most assists this year.
Dittrich, a member of the 2010 All-NCHA team, was also named to the NCHA All-Academic team for the second time in her career. She won the conference's Scholar-Athlete award, just the second time in program history a Blugold has ever won the award.
