Wed, May 22, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Golf in Second at St. Thomas Invitational By: Kevin Meinholz, Sports Information Director BECKER, Minn. (UWECBlugolds.com) - The second-ranked UW-Eau Claire women's golf team is currently in second place out of eleven teams after round one of the University of St. Thomas Invitational at Pebble Creek Golf Club. The Blugolds' first team shot 326 for the day while a second group of Blugolds shot 338 and holds fifth place. Gustavus Adolphus College is in first place with 316 strokes and St. Olaf College is in third with 327. Catherine Wagner (Fr.-Austin, Minn.) currently leads the Blugolds with 79 (+7) and is tied for fifth. Katie Maurer (So.-Forest Lake, Minn./Convent of the Visitation) is tied for 10th place with 81. Emily Swift (So.-Onalaska, Wis.) is currently tied for 14th place with teammate Lauren Gault (So.-Shorewood, Wis.). Both have 83 strokes while Maggie Lattery (So.-Lake Nebagamon, Wis./Northwestern), who leads the Blugolds' second team, is tied for 12th with 82. The tournament will conclude tomorrow. |
